To any members interested in new composite capsule hydroplanes.

Grant Harrison and myself – Grant Rollason have engaged Ron Jones Jnr in the USA into building new carbon composite kit 1.6 litre hydroplanes. We have 3 on order and one of them will be available for anyone to purchase. The kit requires approx 2 months work to finish. I can do this at an agreed cost. They will be available from approx August this year.

This will be the easiest and cheapest way for a competitor to get into a new capsule boat. Price for the kits has been cut in order to generate interest. The more we can get into a container, the better the price will be. Please contact myself – Grant Rollason on 0438027255 or grantrollason@hotmail.com . The base price for the kit only will start at approx $25,000 Aud. There will be freight charges and GST on top. We do not know what this will be at present. Completion of the kit will start from approx $7,000 for stage 1. This will include, gluing of all components together and taping of all seams and fairing and primer. Hardware installation - Strut brackets, Rudder Bracket, Skid fin bracket, Engine rails, Canopy, Canard wing will all be in place. Engine fit out and set up will be optioned as an extra. Seat is to the drivers requirements as an extra. Other work can be carried out to purchasers requirements. Price on application.

I will be building my newly designed hull as well and will have it ready through next season. As I am building from scratch, this will require building plugs and moulds. Rough time period will be between 8 months and 1 year to complete this project. Will keep the Oz Lite Register up to date on construction with Photographs at stages.
