Each evening of this event the Lake Mulwala Power event
hosted by the Victorian APBA and assisted by Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism will
have an event each night for fans and race teams to attend.
We ask all teams must attend each evening to show support to
sponsors and dignitaries.
Welcome Dinner & Event Opening

Where: Burkes Hotel -
Reception Room – Main St, Yarrawonga
Time: 7.00pm

meals & drinks at hotel prices.
We have managed to secure top MC (Master Ceremonies) Dave
Bishop to host the evening and ensure it runs to schedule. Dave will have a few stories to tell, as he
does.
During the evening Victorian APBA President Mr. Dean Gleeson
will be invited to the stage and will welcome all teams, fans and sponsors to
the 2010 Lake Mulwala Power festival.
The Moira Shire will
be thanked for their support and the President shall then introduce the Moira
Shire Council Mayor Ed Cox to the stage to officially say a few words and open
the 2010 event.
We have also secured some past boat race champions who are
now legends to be interviewed. Guests include Peter Knight, Bob Saniga, George
Robins and Ray Short (along with mate –Bob Thurgar).
The night is also very important that all teams attend to be
involved with the pole draw for the weekends racing.
First up will be the pole draw for the Marj Watson
competitors, each team will be read out and the driver asked to the stage where
they will each take an envelope containing their pole positions.
Throughout the remainder of the evening our MC Dave Bishop
will be asking the various classes and drivers to the stage to do their
respective pole draw. Again it is important we have all teams present to take
an envelope.
We hope to conclude the evening by 9.30pm for the teams to
go home and relax and then the relax party begins!

meals & drinks at club prices.
Our host with the most, the amazing man with the golden
voice ‘Dave Bishop’ back with us again to host our evening. Tonight we will be
celebrating and awarding the 2010 Marj Watson Championship.
Also on hand will be the UIM, they have asked for some time
to use this special occasion to present to one very worthy recipient of a
special UIM Award for outstanding international power boating duties. The UIM
will also present to some recent UIM championship winners their UIM
Certificates.
We will hear speeches for the winners of the Marj Watson and
their journey to winning this most prestigious Australasian Championship.
Sunday World GP Hydroplane Championship Presentations
When: 45 minutes after
last race.
Where: Beautiful
foreshore on Lake Mulwala, Yarrawonga.
Admission: Included in
days entry fee of $5.00. Food vendors and bar facilities will remain open.
Fantastic entertainment will be provided after the race
until the presentations.
The conclusion to a great weekend of power boating will be
held on the foreshore to enjoy what we hope has been a very entertaining
weekend. Bring along your chairs and picnic rugs and come along to relax while
the APBA presents the World Championship to one very worth Grand Prix
Hydroplane team.
Immediately after crowning the World Champion presentations
will commence for all classes. Each class will be presented to by their
sponsors, so we ask all teams to remain in race uniforms and to make special
thanks to their sponsors for making the event a success that it was.
